PRIVACY AND SECURITY TERMS
1.General: The www.battleofsea.com website and the Battle of Sea game (hereinafter referred to jointly or separately as the “Site” and/or the “Game”) may only be used if the user accepts the privacy and security terms set forth below. By using the Site and/or the Game, the user declares that they have read, understood, and accepted these terms. If the user does not accept the terms set forth below, they may not use the Site and/or the Game. Certain sections of the Site and/or the Game may also be subject to additional special terms, rules, and supplementary provisions.
2.Compliance with Privacy and Security Terms / Amendments: Gamepatron (hereinafter referred to as the “Site Owner”) reserves the right to change, update, revoke, or introduce additional provisions to the privacy and security terms at any time without prior notice. The nature of the information collected during the use of the Site and/or the Game, the purposes for which such information is used, the conditions under which it may be shared, and all other necessary privacy terms are regulated under this text. The user acknowledges that the Site Owner reserves the right to make changes and is responsible for regularly reviewing the current terms. Continued use of the Site and/or the Game shall mean that such changes have been accepted.
3.Open System: Users acknowledge that the internet is not a completely secure environment, that electronic communication involves various risks, and that it may be subject to unlawful interference by third parties. No guarantee can be given that passwords, personal data, correspondence, and other information transmitted electronically will be absolutely protected. Although the Site Owner takes reasonable technical and administrative measures, the Site Owner shall not be held liable for risks arising from the nature of the internet, unlawful acts of third parties, or damages resulting from the user’s failure to take their own security precautions.
4. Username, Email Address, and Password: The Site Owner may require membership or registration to access certain parts of the Site and/or the Game. During registration, the user may be asked to provide a username, email address, and password, or to create or enter such information. The user acknowledges that the information provided during registration is accurate, current, and belongs to them. The user is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their username, email address, and password, and for preventing any unlawful or unauthorized use of such information by third parties. The user is required to create a strong password, change it when necessary, and keep the email address registered in our system active. The user is responsible for all actions carried out using their username, email address, and password. The user must immediately notify the Site Owner if their username, email address, or password is compromised or lost, or if the security of their account is otherwise put at risk.
5.Protection of Information and Prevention of Misuse: The Site Owner applies reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the data recorded within the Site and/or the Game. The Site Owner may also take any measures it deems necessary to prevent misuse, unauthorized access, cheating attempts, system abuse, and similar violations that may negatively affect user experience, game security, and service integrity. However, the Site Owner does not guarantee that such measures will produce definitive results in all cases or completely eliminate all risks. The user accepts that they use the Site and the Game as is.
6.Links to Third Parties and Other Websites: Links may be provided through the Site and/or the Game to third-party websites, applications, platforms, or services that are not operated or controlled by the Site Owner. Such links may be provided solely for information and convenience. The Site Owner makes no guarantees regarding the content, security structure, accessibility, privacy policies, or practices of such third-party services and shall not be held responsible for them. The user is responsible for reviewing the terms and policies of third-party services before using them.
7.Site Assistant Applications and Cookies: Auxiliary/assistant applications, plugins, software, session data, local storage mechanisms, or similar technical tools may be used to make certain parts of the Site and/or the Game functional. In this context, the method of use, scope, and certain technical data may be stored in the systems. Cookies and similar technologies may be used to improve user experience, manage sessions, provide ease of use, and support technical operations.
8.Personal Information:
i. Personal information such as name, surname, address/residence information, IP information, email address, phone number, and similar data may be provided by the user for the purpose of visiting, using, registering for, benefiting from, making payments in, receiving support from, or carrying out user transactions in any section of the Site and/or the Game. The user accepts that personal information provided, disclosed, or recorded by them may be viewed and processed by the Site Owner. The user also accepts that any content and information they allow to be shared with other users or third parties in accordance with their preferences and sharing settings may be visible within that scope.
ii. The Site Owner reserves the right to classify, store, process, and use the information and content provided by the user or generated during use for the purposes of providing services, improving services, ensuring security, carrying out support processes, improving user experience, system management, registration procedures, technical analysis, fulfilling legal obligations, and in line with the purposes of the Site and/or the Game. The Site Owner may also, to the extent permitted by applicable law, share or transfer such data domestically and/or internationally with relevant service providers, business partners, infrastructure providers, or competent public authorities and institutions when necessary.
iii. Unless required by applicable law, the Site Owner does not intend to request sensitive personal data from users, such as race, ethnic origin, religion, sect, political opinion, philosophical belief, health data, biometric data, or similar categories of sensitive personal information. If the user voluntarily shares such data, the related responsibility shall be evaluated within the framework of applicable law and the nature of the specific case.
iv. Commercial information, account movements, payment information, and service usage data belonging to Site members and/or users shall also be evaluated within the scope of the relevant provisions concerning personal data.
9.Use of Personal Information: The user accepts that the personal data they provide to the Site Owner, as well as related records generated during use, may be used for the provision, execution, and improvement of services, provision of user support, protection of system and account security, fulfillment of legal obligations, resolution of disputes, making service announcements, and, where necessary, promotional, informational, or operational communication processes. Such use shall be carried out in accordance with applicable law and without prejudice to the rights of the user.
10.Commercial Communication: The user accepts that the Site Owner may send service-related information, announcements, technical notices, support messages, updates, commercial electronic communications, and similar content through the communication information that the user has shared on the Site, shared with the Site Owner, or recorded by any method. The user has the right, within the framework of applicable law, to withdraw consent for commercial electronic communications at any time and to refuse such communications. Requests for refusal shall be processed within the periods prescribed by applicable law.
11.Violation of Privacy and Security Rights: The Site Owner reserves the right to reject, remove, delete, modify, temporarily or permanently restrict access to the Site and/or Game services without prior notice, suspend, terminate, or cancel membership, with respect to any information available in the system. This right may be exercised in any case deemed necessary, including but not limited to violation of privacy and security terms, attempted violation, misuse, fraud, unauthorized access, deception, behavior endangering system security, or acts of violation carried out by third parties on behalf of the user.
12.Detection of Cheats, Bots, Macros, and Unauthorized Software: The Site Owner may apply certain technical and security controls while the Game client is running in order to ensure the security of the Battle of Sea game, protect fair play, and detect, prevent, and investigate bots, macros, scripts, automation tools, unauthorized third-party software, and similar cheating methods that negatively affect the experience of other users. Within this scope, certain application and process names running simultaneously with the Game, the focus status of the Game window, technical data relating to the integrity of the Game client, and other limited system data necessary for security audits may be processed, recorded, and evaluated. By using the Site and/or the Game, the user shall be deemed to have accepted that such controls may be applied solely for the purposes of security, auditing, investigation, cheat detection, prevention of misuse, and enforcement of the terms of service. The Site Owner does not use the data obtained within this scope for advertising or marketing purposes. If bots, macros, scripts, automation tools, or similar unauthorized software are detected, or if there is reasonable suspicion regarding such use, the Site Owner reserves the right to investigate the relevant user account and to temporarily restrict access, suspend, or terminate membership.
